License Agreement

The book, “Notches on the Quirt” (“Book”) by Edmund J. Metz (“Author”) is the copyrighted work of Author and is owned exclusively by Author. The Book is provided free of cost to the reader (“Recipient”) in accordance with the terms of this license agreement.

Ownership

Recipient acknowledges that the Book, its full contents, characters, storyline and ideas are the exclusive property of Author. Author hereby grants to Recipient a limited non-transferable license to access and use, a single copy of Book subject to the Limitations of Use described below.

Limitations of Use

Recipient may:

(A) Download and keep one copy of Book on his/her computer and print one copy of Book for his/her personal use only.

(B) Cite the Book in articles, papers or publicity authored by Recipient or Recipient’s agents, provided proper and commonly accepted citation of Book to Author.

Recipient may not:

(A) Alter, modify, copy, distribute or publish Book, in whole or in part, by any means, electronic or mechanical. Copies of the Book may not be distributed by email or posted to any websites without the express written permission of Author.

(B) Use Book, its contents, characters, storylines or ideas for the production of any derivative works, including, but not limited to stories, screenplays, scripts, videos, television programs or motion pictures.

(C) Market or resell Book for profit. Sale of Book by Recipient is strictly forbidden and does not entitle Recipient to compensation from Author.

(D) Distribute or publish the website link (URL) to the download webpage of the Book.

(E) Use the Book in any many not authorized in this license agreement.
